Bronte Stag Weekend Event 2020
Every year for the past 18 years, Tony Fox, TSC USA Canadian Director, together with family and friends, has hosted a three-day get-together for Triumph Stag owners on the days prior to and the day of British Car Day. Now in its 36th year, British Car day is held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville (just west of Toronto, ON) and is organized by the Toronto Triumph Club. The Bronte Stag Week-end provides an opportunity for Stag owners to attend British Car Day, the largest gathering of British cars in North America, but to also participate in a number of enjoyable drives through the southern Ontario countryside, often visiting museums or other destinations with a transportation interest. Lunch and dinner outings are also arranged to enable Stag owners to socialise and talk about their beloved cars. The Triumph Stag was first introduced to the Automotive Press in June 1970 at Knokke-le-Zoute in Belgium and later revealed to U.S. audiences at the New York International Auto Show in April 1971. Consequently, this year marks the Golden Anniversary of the Triumph Stag model and we are hoping that many U.S. and Canadian Stag owners will consider attending one of the special Stag Gatherings being planned this year or arrange for a good turn out of Stags at any one of the multitude of British car shows across the country this season. TSCUSA directors, including Founder Michael Coffey and Canadian Director, Tony Fox, have endorsed the holding of two special Stag Gatherings, one in the Toronto area at Bronte in conjunction with British Car Day, September 18-20 and the other on the west coast at Vancouver's All British Field Meet, May 15-17. The Stag gatherings will provide an opportunity for Stag owners to attend a premier British car show and also to participate in a number of enjoyable drives through the southern Ontario countryside or in the Lower Fraser Valley and Coastal Mountain areas of British Columbia, visiting museums or other destinations with a transportation interest. Lunch and dinner outings will also be arranged to enable Stag owners to socialize and talk about their beloved cars. Bronte Stag Weekend 2020 - [CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19] this is the annual Stag gathering that Tony Fox has organized for the past 19 years with two days of Stag-only drives, visits and dining prior to the Toronto Triumph's 37th annual British Car Day, the largest gathering of British cars in North America, held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park, just west of Toronto. Tony is planning to have at least 50 Stags participate from Ontario and adjacent States and Provinces, which will likely be the largest ever gathering of Triumph Stags in North America outside of British Leyland's import parking area in the early 1970s. Besides joining the largest group of Stags in North America you will have the opportunity to attend what is the largest British car show in North America, with well over 1,000 British vehicles participating. Each year amazes us with the rare models of vehicles that appear, many of which I have not seen for years. You can optionally pre- register for the car show and save $5 through the Toronto Triumph Club's website rather than pay at the gate. Go to the British Car Day webpage and click on Fast Lane Registration when it becomes active in May. This will speed up your entry into the park.
